Just seen this film.   Great !!!    I think because it was a true story.   I preferred it to Rocky.   Definitely Oscar material.

So you'd recommend it then? Was thinking of going to see it. Whatever you think of Russell Crowe's persona he's a great actor. He's so believable in any role he plays.

Yes, I would recommend it.  Russell Crowe is great in this, as is Paul Giamatti as his manager.   Of course, it goes without saying how superb Rene Zellweger is !
