Last I knew he was living about 8-10 miles from where I do..but that was a few years ago, so I wouldn't have been sure if he was still alive.

I think Reg is still with us - if so, he's now ages 89.

For what it's worth: I was never a great fan of On the Buses; For me, it will always be 'The Rag Trade' which saw Reg at his best.

Reg Varney is still very much alive unlike his co stars on on the buses. The actress who played Olive is alive but not the one who played Arthur or Blakey.

Stephen Lewis the actor who Played Blakey is still very much alive.Bob Grant who played Jack the conductor and Michael Robbins who played Arthur, Stan's brother in law are both no longer with us.

What always made me laugh was that Reg Varney was pushing Sixty when he played Stan Butler, but his character always used to chase and pull the young crumpet :)
