James Nesbitt plays one very scary character.
What a nutcase!!! Oh wow!!
Sorry, but there is no plot in this poorly made, hastily cobbled together money-maker that opens up and revels in the pain of two innocent families who have not even begun to come to terms with the pain that invaded their lives. Trevor Buchanan and Leslie Howell were not the only victims of these two killers - their families, particularly their children, have suffered intense pain. The story portrayed in The Secret is not a plot, nothing clever about it, just a series of tragic, harrowing circumstances brought to life again by actors for the titillation of the viewing public, who care nothing for the agony behind the Wow! factor. James Nesbit is a fine actor that I have always known and admired - we share the same home town - I have always had the greatest respect for him, but this has now gone - vanished in the face of his willingness to disregard the suffering on his doorstep, suffering that he is helping to increase and prolong. It was inevitable that some writer with an eye to the money would write about the events surroundings the deaths of Trevor Buchanan and Leslie Howell. But to bring this to mainstream TV as entertainment, with such a fanfare of publicity and drama, so soon after the events, is cruel. Colin Howell and Hazel Buchanan (Stewart) are now where they belong, behind bars for a long number of years. Some respect and consideration for their families, who have suffered so much, would be the humane thing now. I guess this is too much to ask. People love a bit of sensationalism, and stuff those that get hurt.
Yes, extemely good acting by Nesbitt. The police are closing in now.
I think its already out.
