Why do they have lunch in the cafe when they live 100 metres away?
Why does every character have every other character in their mobile phone- even ones they don't talk to?

Why do people leave the pub even though they still have most of their pint left?

Why don't any of the soap characters watch a tv detective series and then come on AB complaining that they "just don't get it"?:-)

They never have more than one character with the same name, in my life I have 3 friends called Carol. Unheard of in soap land. Maybe they imagine viewers would get confused?
As far as I can remember Brookside had 2 Jackies but can't recall any others

A little late on this one, but how is it that when they are in hospital, they are never placed in a ward but in a private room?

aog - one of the soaps gave an explanation for that. It's because it's too expensive/time consuming to set up a ward scene with all the necessary equipment and extras.
