After Winning The Great British Bake Off Is There No Limits To Nadiya Hussain's Success?

I ask this because on last night's 'Tonight at the London Palladium' she popped up again, this time to bring into one of the side boxes a cake, yes that's all.

But not quite it would seem, she also baked the Queen's 90th Birthday cake, and has now landed her own show on the BBC.

What next one may ask, a Damehood perhaps?

AOG > Perhaps that could be because they seem to have more talent than that of being able to bake a cake?

You need to do your research. Nadiya writes weekly for The Times magazine, has studied for a degree, has secured three different publishing deals as well as being a successful 'cake baker'.

Quite diverse and more talented than you give her credit for.
I hope when she is in Bangladesh to trace her culinary roots, she will learn how to bake a cake that dosent look like the Eiffel Tower!!!!

What does that matter when she's a pesky Muslim, eh, AOG?
AOG > How come then that she wear a hijab rather than a straw boater?

More sensible and hygienic for someone who is just a baker?
My Butcher wore a boater.
I don't remember any other winners of British Bake Off being lauded quite this much.

'Limits to her success'?

So far, her success has centred on baking, so it would appear that's where limit is.
Maybe they chose different paths to follow, not publishing and presenting for example.

Check on what happened to some here...

Mamya > My Butcher wore a boater.

I hope he was bald. Wouldn't fancy a hairy saveloy.
No love, he had dreadlocks.
AOG

The thing about Nadiya is that she came to the public eye after winning something.

As opposed to Katie Hopkins, whose every utterance seems to be lauded by certain sections of AB.

Weird huh?
double awesome
Super picture SP.
Mamya - gulp!

Sp - beautiful.
I prefer Katie Hopkins - weird eh??
She has an infectious charm and the photo sp provided totally rocks!

A lovely lady with a charming family.

I do wonderful if your post is more about ***-stirring and less about deating an issue.
Debating the issue ^^^^
She presented an award at the soap awards too.

Don't remember any other winner of Bake Off getting such exposure.
Silliemillie > Don't remember any other winner of Bake Off getting such exposure.

Yes that would be true. However, I detect an element of resentment in this statement in addition to AOG's comments.

I gave some examples earlier of people who ubiquitously pop up on different shows.

I also think there is a distinction to be made sometimes between popularity and talent.

In the sporting world for example how many different people were talented at their sport and replaced more accomplished broadcasters because they were seen as more hip. Snooker, football and horse racing are three sports I would consider this to be the case.

In chat shows, I have often seen a celebrity guest then pop up the next evening on another programme and then maybe appear to press the button on the Lottery show!

Regular appearances in different areas is nothing new and I'm not sure why Nadiya is being singled out as if it is in some way unjustified.

Familiarity clearly does breed contempt to some...
