My belated post about Ali. He was a great showman. The Greatest! He was a great sportsman. The Greatest! But he wasn't the greatest boxer. He was the greatest boxer of HIS time but not of all time. That accolade belongs to the TRULY greatest, Rocky Marciano. 49 fights, 49 wins, many of them by knock out. If they'd have met, I think Ali would have danced him all over the place, but he wouldn't have beaten him. The Greatest? Without doubt, it was Rocky Marciano.
