Not really.

They have clearly developed the habit of speaking slowly enough that they can detect what the other is saying and synchronise. I guess it is a decent enough cabaret type act, but IMO a bit of a waste of effort when they could be getting on with their own lives. There again, maybe they do and only team up for Early Morning TV.

Yes it is funny - so don't argue with my opinion
Anyone who has had any dealings with twins knows that finishing each others' sentences is simply par for the course - it's what most twins do.

In this instance, they are parroting set answers to questions - so knowing what words are coming is a matter of rote, nothing more than that.

Why Susannah Reid felt the need to slow her own speech down as though she was speaking to a five year old with English as a second language is not advised.

I research interviews with musicians, and if I ask a musician a question that has been asked many times before, I will get a set answer word-for-word - it's absolutely nothing to get excited about.

The notion that twins live together and are close is similarly hardly news - millions of twins do the same, so why these two are an 'internet sensation' speaks more to the population of the internet, than the notion that this is all new and dazzling, or indeed amusing in any way.
My 10 year old twin granddaughters told me they could do something I couldn't do. They can "twin speak" when I asked what that was they told me its talking in their heads! They reckon they can have a conversation without using words.
Caran...believe it or not me and the OH can do that.
It is comical and yes twins do develop their own ways, but if you listen carefully there is a pause whilst the other catches up once the answers progress.


My Step Granddaughters like many had their own language when little.
Even funnier is Susannah trying to get a word in over Piers
