i didnt wtch the first eries - did he do what they are accusing himof?
Yes, it was good.
Poldark, an anagram for 'Old Krap' as Clive James once pointed out....

Victoria sizzled this evening....
Enjoyed it (him) ;-)...was easy to make sense of in spite of last seeing it a year ago.
Will watch Victoria on catch up.
I missed it grrrr
To be honest I watched last night and found it boring. I think the script is very weak and if it wasnt for the scenery of Cornwall, it is quite bland. I think this has become more of Mr Poldark taking his shirt off and covered in baby oil than an actual good story.

I can never understand why they never made another series of The Paradise, much better in my opinion.
I did enjoy it but I too thought it was overly long, could have been done in half the time and the music drives me potty. The scenery is majestic.
I enjoyed it but I wish they would stick to the proper story .
Francis didn't shoot himself. In the books he drowned in the mine.

Fortunately (for me) I haven't read the books, so I've come to the story completely fresh. I think sometimes it's a mistake to read the book then see the film, and vice versa. They never marry up. I'm enjoying it for what it is, a romantic 'romp' and escapist entertainment.
I watched the original Poldark with Robin Ellis and Angharad Rees. Loved it so much that I didn't want to spoil my memories. The books by Winston Graham are brilliant and well worth a read.
Francis does fire a pistol at his head in Jeremy Poldark (which is the book the episode from last night was from), but it misfires...

In other news, where has Poldark's eyeliner gone?
