The answer is LONGER.
The clue is:
'Against member for Lancaster, say, not taking more time'
(But one word in the clue might be in the wrong position!!)

This was a tricky one:

"Not" needs to move to the front, and then we have LONGERON minus ON ("Not against"). Lancaster refers to the Lancaster bomber, a longeron being part of an aeroplane.

Thanks emcee - all clear but I guess you could (could you?) argue that 'against' could be the word that moves?
