Did anyone just watch it? I thought Johnny Vegas was quite rude,he took kind of took over near the end, so much so the chef had to halt conversation to introduce a band before they went off air. It was really uncomfortable to watch.
Hi hereiam, I've not watched anything up to date Vegas has done, I did used to like him, but I think he's a bit of a bore now. I didn't know he had stepped in to cover/ replace Tim Lovejoy, I only caught the latter end of the programme, but the chef Simon Rimmer tried several times to break in to a conversation to wind a recipe up to no avail. I'm going to have to wait h it again, I just kept saying out loud, oh my god how rude!
I totally agree when you say he's a bit of a bore. Seen him on that spin off of the Countdown programme once or twice and he just goes on and on and I don't find it funny in the least ...
I thought it was just me who didn't particularly like Johnny Vegas; don't find him the least bit funny. However, my son thinks he's the bees knees. Generational?
don't find him funny at all.
Wasn't he on Sunday Brunch some months ago where he was showing a very clever hand at pottery skills, he should stick to that and ignore attempts at comedy imo
He was standing in for Tim Lovejoy who is recovering from back operation, strange choice but maybe all the other chef presenters etc want Sunday off. Johnny Vegas all right but in small doses!!
I thoroughly enjoyed it and it made a nice change - there was good chemistry between the presenters. He only had to interrupt him because they were running out of time - JV is not a TV presenter and therefore these things probably don't occur to him.
