Problem With Friends Before Travel

I am planning to travel to Portugal and Spain with friends and we discussed together a few days ago. 3 of them confirm sure to tell me that they are feel comfortable to stay in a room with others people. I DOUBLE confirm with them.

me: I found a cheaper hostel that in 24-mixed dormitory room.
A: that is too many people in one room.
Then of course I found another place for them which just 8 people in a room BUT BUT....all of them suddenly disappear after seen my message.
C: I found a PRIVATE room which is more suitable for us.
B: Jac (my name), you always get wrong point of the conversation.
and I feel like WHT??? what's wrong with that???

They don't mind sharing with you and the friends they know. They don't want to share with strangers in a dormitory! There is a big difference!

I thought "others people" included strangers. Then now I know what are they mean now. cheers, JJ109
