I keep seeing Eurovision 2017 trailers on the beeb surely with our imminent departure from the EU this outdated program is no longer of relevance to us. Time to call it a day and we should call it a day?
Well, allow me to be the first to remind you that Eurovision has nothing whatever to do with the EU.
Did someone say "Balkan block vote" or does that come later :-)
i have only watched it once and never again, i can't think of a more a more painful experience, where screeching men and women warble with distinctly unmemorable songs.
As ich says, Eurovision is nothing to do with Europe.
The contest is open to any country that receives transmission from the Eurovision group of transmitters - which explains why countries a seriously long way from the European continent get to send entries in.
Our exit from the EU will not affect our eligibility to enter if we wish.
I think it's one of the better songs that we have submitted, but it makes no odds really because virtually nobody votes for us anyway and certainly our exit from the EU will make this worse. I have a couple of films lined up to watch.
Many an entrant meet their Waterloo in this ' contest '
Apart from the obvious one - how many winners can you name
Lordy
Pearl and Teddy Carr
Cliff Richard
Sandy Shaw
Katrina and the Waves
? Sheena Easton
The band from Father Ted (its ok, joking)
