I have no love for Abbott, I can assure you.

Unfortunately, you'll recall that the Parliamentary Labour Party all but refused to work with Corbyn after the EU referendum and have essentially sat in a corner pretending he doesn't exist since their ridiculous coup attempt last year, so as a result he's had no choice but to recruit from the tiny minority of the PLP who stayed loyal.

It's exasperating and very depressing.
