No I don't think he did. I didn't think she would be allowed to get away with it though. Can't see how Jodie Whittaker would fit another series in along with Dr Who
It was as though they had to suddenly wrap up all the loose ends. What happened to her neighbour who was admitted with the heat problem and they had to shock her back to life??
I liked the ending, too often writers go for the morally right ending although I doubt she could have maintained the pretence indefinitely. As for someone complaining they have recorded it, in those circumstances I would not have clicked on this topic!
After Aly/Cath's husband was killed (good surprise twist), she would have been sought out, and have had to go to his funeral. Would not friends and relations then ask her where she was living and working, how her little girl is now, why haven't we seen you? Just one of many plot holes in an otherwise enjoyable and well-directed piece. Good to see realistic panicky, gory scenes in resusc, though, rather than the anodyne Holby City/Casualty stuff.
Excellent series. Just goes to show what you can get away with if you move to a foreign country ( Scotland, land of the heather & the brave.) & wee Jimmy Crankie.
