Every day I scan the news and I make a note of the items that I think AOG will start a thread on. If I am right, £2 goes in the kitty and I put the total on the first race of the day on Saturday.
This week the horse won at 15 - 1 so I am quids in.

How do you pick your horse? I usually just scan down the names of the horses and pick the one that appeals to me.

That's the way I choose mine Woflie, on the odd occasion I have a flutter and if one horse's name reminds me of an ab'er, I'll have a punt on that horse and then blame the ab'er when the gee-gee comes in last :-D

Wow you did well to get 15/1. Oddschecker shows that it's best price since the book opened this morning was 10/1 with 3 of the 28 listed top betting sites. Don't tend to see many horses win with odds of 15/1 or 13/1, 17/1 and 19/1 either.

I just pick the one with the best odds with little hope of winning, so any win is a bonus. I just have the one bet a week so I'd taking taking food from the baby's mouth

I'm quite cheery really - and it's good to get all viewpoints of news so I read lots of news sources and make my own mind up.

Thankfully I don't see the 'sidebar of shame' on the DM - I don't want to be corrupted

i have a vaguley similar "bingo" game with my husband when i can be bothered.
We have a guess at how many times the word "flaunts" appears in the DM sidebar on a particular day.
If we are feeling bored with flaunts we might pick "busty"
the winner gets tea made for them
