Isn't it lovely to watch - especially the innocence and child like daters. All of them lovely.

Most if them just want a partner and don't seem to care who it is.
Most people only get together with folk they like, are attracted to or have some sort of spark,
But on this program it seems they will get together with anyone who will agree to be their B/F G/F just for the sake of having one.
It's a bit sad they feel like that as there's nothing wrong with being on your own.
Before I was married there were plenty of times I was on my own for a while as I didnt go out with just anyone who asked me just for the sake of having a B/F.

But did you have problems attracting a boyfriend when you decided that was what you wanted ? Some don't seem to have the luxury of such an option. Besides, one can grow to love someone when in a committed relationship. Arranged marriages can work if the couple are willing to give it their best try.
As entertainment though, the show doesn't appeal to me.

While some have physical disabilities, many are on the autism/aspergers spectrum and as a consequence may have a different concept of dating, relationships, marriage, than you or I do. Many have lives centred on family...and friends don't get mentioned. Maybe there is little opportunity to develop stronger ties with someone...but still a need. I don't really see them as settling for the sake of it.
Pastafreak I totally agree with you. My daughter (who is autistic) was asked to go on the show. I often wonder whether if some of the people don't really understand the concept of the show. Should autistic people and their struggles with relationships be used for our entertainment(some people watch to take the *** out of them). I think that the title of the show is awful as well.
