Personally I find him about as amusing as root canal surgery with no anaesthetic, but that aside, if he is one of the most popular (and wealthy) comedians in the country, why is it beyond the powers of the people who dress him to go on stage, to put him a suit that fits him properly?

A slim-fitting tailored suit looks good on a tall slim man, on Mr Macintyre, he looks like ten pounds of potatoes in a six-pound bag.

I like him :-)
I would never notice his clothing, because I immediately change channel if he comes on.
I think that's the appearance he likes. That's his image.
Just because he has a spare tyre in his name ...

I don't think you will find many modern day comedians who are the epitome of sartorial elegance.
i have admired, liked this comedian since the first time i saw him, which was some time ago now, he nearly always makes me laugh, sometimes very heartily... as to his suits, well he isn't your average slim jim as you say, but that doesn't detract from his abilities, going on the audiences reaction, to make people laugh...
I agree, Andy.....his ill fitting suits put me off as much as his voice does.....x
You have a word f you're bothered.
Ah one of those nights when we sang like a heavenly choir, of the life and the time of Micheal McIntyre.
I love him. He does joke about his lack of svelteness. He always looks fine to me. He's not exactly bursting out of his suit.
I like him. I think he is very funny, just watching him makes you want to laugh just like Tommy Cooper used to do. I can honestly say Ive never noticed any thing wrong with his suits and I will not have to make a point of looking at them next time.

MM would not be fit to polish Tommy Coopers boots imho, he is just not funny.
Baldric, you've got it the wrong way round. Cooper was just not funny :)
It's when he shouts that he becomes as obnoxious as a fart in a diving suit....when measured, he can actually be quite funny.

Please don't tell me I'm wrong Jo just because I have a different opinion to you.
I don't think I've ever seen Tommy Cooper, but I like the observational ones. I remember my parents watching people like the Two Ronnies, Little and Large et al - each using the same couple of jokes week in week out.
I never used to like him. He always looked like he was on speed or something. He has grown on me over the years.

Baldric...stop being so serious all the time!
Baldric, did you notice the smiley at the end of my post?
:)

Yes.
Andy....I share your sentiments about this awful so-called comedian.
Makes you wonder how he get's a prime time slot on a Saturday night doesn't it.
