Tonight on The Chase, Bradley said a word and asked what was it Scottish slang for..The answer was whiskey, but I had never heard the term. Does anyone know what the word was. Thanks

Mamyalynne....No not that, which is the gaelic for whisky. He asked a scottish slang word that started with S and the answer was whisky. Didn't catch what the word was and wondered if anyone had.

70 year old Scot here and I have never heard this word before. Whisky (no e) or a drappie for me.

maggiebee....I am quite sure the spelling in the subtitles was incorrect. The way it was pronounced, sounded like there should have been an "M" at the end. Wondered if it was a gaelic word but my husband is a gaelic speaker and has never heard of.
