Went to the Playhouse Theatre, Edinburgh last night to see the Roy Orbison Hologram Show. Although the singing and the backing by the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra was fabulous, I was slightly uneasy about the "man" on stage. I know it was a hologram found it all a bit spooky.
The Big O is my all-tinme favourite. Haven't seen the hologram version and I'm not sure I'd like to. I'll content myself with seeing the Barry Steele tribute act and listening to the real thing.
Fast forward to the funeral of my boss (younger than me) who died shortly after I retired. Traditional liturgy absent.
Robert Plant and Alison Krauss. Followed by Travelling Wilburys? Who they?
Ah, three out of five ain't bad. RIP Mssrs Orbison, Petty and Harrison.
Haven't seen the term 'Messrs' for yonks. At one time it was the fashion, when listing men, to begin with 'Messrs' followed by their surnames. The corresponding term for ladies was 'Mesdames'.
