If it was left to one notable African, speaking on LBC radio last night the Commonwealth should be banned as it was a continuation of Colonialism and white man's domination over the black man, I ask you, talk about racism?
From the offset of the discussion, whilst the presenter was perfectly respectful and polite, when trying to convince him that membership was voluntary, the African fellow was shouting, agitated and rude, why are they so aggressive?

Are you suggesting that all Africans fellows are aggressive?
It would seem, to me, that since the Commonwealth is the last vestiges of the British Empire the reigning monarch 'ought' to be the head.
But perhaps ot's time to look elsewhere?

the commonwealth is a mutual association of countries, so there's no reason the head of one should be the head of all; Britain's not the boss. Charles has been frantically touring them all over the last few years, aware that he's not as popular as his mother (indeed, who is?); but they're still free to choose whoever they want.
The British, however, seem to be stuck with him.

Perhaps he didn't know that any member is free to leave it. Hopefully the interviewer pointed that out to him, whoever he is.

Which country did this 'notable' African represent - or was he not an official representatives but just someone blowing hot air? As has been said, they're all entitled to opt out if that's what they want. Whether or not Prince Charles will succeed the Queen is also their choice. We'll know soon, won't we?

/// Am I reading that right? People on phone-ins announce their colour? ///
Of course they do so all the time.
It is all down to what is being discussed, when one can hear the caller announce themselves as " I'm a black person and......" or "I come from Jamaica and ....." another give away is their accent.
