I will probably be making enemies on AB BUT I must voice my opinion. Once again the time has come to object to the BBC devoting BBC 1 to the worship of FOOTBALL. Why can there not be a special sport programme to show the 'religion' so that we can have the ability to watch our normal programmes ?.

Football fans will watch whatever channel they decide to use so, why lumber the non-football fans with the disruption to their normal viewing.

// My mum used to say the same about horse racing on Channel 4. She'd get most upset when it kicked Countdown off the schedule.//
most complained about prog runner up was Fanny Craddock who was helping a farmers wife do a lunch for Edward Heath (yes back then)
Jesus the Devon farmer himself was 'sarlid'
and she said no to every calory filled mouthful
and the most complained about coming in at 86000 complaints
was the interruption of Antiques Roadshow to show Nelson mandela being released
easily could have waited - as my mother said and was one of the 86k

It's not so much that there's nothing on TV I want to watch, it's just that it's not on BBC 1 or ITV 1 at the moment Bazile. So I don't care if they show the World Cup football. I don't watch a lot of TV anyway, but I do enjoy some of the programs on BBC4, the Drama channel etc. And I like Father Brown and Shakespeare & Hathaway on BBC1 but, of course they are not on in the summer.
