I can't remember the first set we had, but I do remember the thumps we had to give it. My parents later had a Radio Rentals one, Dad used to call them Rentokil.

I've just remembered that my mom used it as some sort of table, you know a plant ( in a pot ), vase etc. M ind you they were about the size of a table back in the day.
Our first colour tv came as fire damaged stock. Nothing wrong with it except that the screen surround was slightly melted.

Eventually it developed a fault - cured (work around) by having the back of the tv permanently partially open to wiggle a circuit board!

I think we are on our 4th colour tv.
