Can you imagine the liberal PC claptrap he would have insisted on including? Don't know what they were thinking in the first place. His 2012 Olympic opening ceremony was embarrassing enough with all the dancing nurses, as if the UK was the only country in the world to have nurses and doctors.

The point about the nurses and doctors was that they're provided by the state. In many other countries you have to buy your own.

I watched the 2012 opening ceremony in Croatia. All those doctors and nurses eh? I felt like crawling under the carpet :-)
What with all that shooting and stuff in James Bond films I guess a few extra medical staff might not have gone amiss.
Preferably they could can the whole sorry series which surely passed its sell by date about 30 years ago

I didn't associate Mr Boyle (of whom I've never heard) with the Olympic ceremony. I had the misfortune to catch some of that (or maybe it was "edited highlights, I can't imagine I would have watched it live). Without a doubt the bit which majored on the NHS was the most cringeworthy episode associated with sport that I have ever seen.
On a more positive note, as something of a Bond (film) fan I think it's worth stressing that if you really like the old ones, they are still there for you to enjoy and always will be. In fact my partner and I recently bought the blu-ray box set and they look better than ever - the restoration work done on the earlier films is excellent and the image quality is outstanding. We already have loads of Bond movies done "the old fashioned way." I don't understand why people are so horrified by the mere prospect that someone might, maybe, have done something different with Bond 25.
