Dr. Who Another Victim Of 'equal Opportunities'?

Good grief that was awful. I knew she would be irritating having watched her cringe worthy interviews pre Dr. Who but....? tonight's episode should have stunned, should have been yeh this is a good move'. No. Dr. Who should not be gender specific -it is an alien FFS, not a northern lass with a 'gob on'. So what will be her USP? A sonic tampon? god help the Daleks should they meet her 'at her time of the month' annihilation . Could be interesting.
We have been avid Dr' Who fans forever. First episode this series 4/10... could do better.

I read the OP and knew it was tongue in cheek and can't understand why some others didn't !! AL is as entitled to her opinion as anyone on here is and I can't understand some of the nastiness, par for the course on here I suppose. I personally do not like a female Dr. Who and couldn't care less what anybody thinks of that. Mind you I've not been a fan of Dr. Who for a while...

Just feels like ur slating the gender of the doc instead of the actor. Some of the male actors haven't been "great" but that's not because they're males, just like this lady isn't a bad actor because she's a woman. It may just not suit your 'idea' of the doctor!
Give it time she may grow on you. At start i didn't like matt smith but grew to enjoy it.

William Hartnell. Hiding behind the couch when the first Dalek appeared.
Of course, it was a kid's show then and we didn't live in such enlightened times.
Christmas Day you'd see those Dalek costumes made of plastic and polythene, I was so jealous. Never saw one on any other day of the year. I suspect they had a short life-span.
Did anybody have one?

You're probably correct, HereIam......though I've been a long time fan of the programme I haven't been able to watch many of the latest episodes....
I was just surprised that the words in the OP came across as a bit rough or common rather than tongue in cheek or humorous...which it could have been from the comments which followed....could have started a fun thread if better thought out.....x

gness How about playing the ball instead of the man? Personal attacks on ones character are against Site Rules but I'm prepared to run a book that yours will not be removed. Hope you and Dave are keeping well . xx
