Moon Landing 1969

Did any of you watch the 1969 moon landing live (as it was happening) on TV & what are your memories?
I watched with my two-year old on my lap. I wanted him to be able to say that he saw it while it was actually happening. Even though he was so young, he still remembers it.

My father, an ex RAF Wing Commander poo-poo-ed it all the way through, pointing out 'impossibilities' and 'indiscrepancies' . He was not one for fanciful thoughts or conspiracy theories but kept the view that it was done in a studio as part of the race to the Moon with Russia.
I'd been stopping overtime on afters at the pit and got home about 02.00hrs had a sandwich and a beer and watched what was happening and thought whats the big deal?. It wasn't till next morning when I when I woke up still in the chair with a stiff neck that I realised just how big a deal it really was.
