It is a fix, they always take the two most obvious wrong ones, total fix.

No they don't.
I don't think it's a fix.
Question Author
Why is it that the two definitely wrong answers are removed, it happens all the time. They are not random at all.
Hang on - i'll just phone a friend and ask him if its a fix
Question Author
We watch it every night and I guarantee I can predict the two removed random questions.
Yeah, and I bet it's not 'computer' who takes them away either. I bet there's a man pressing a button somewhere. It's a disgrace, ain't it!
be a bit disconcerting if you thought you knew the right answer and it was removed wouldn't it?
Of course they remove two definitely wrong answers - they wouldn't remove the correct one!
If it was so obvious that two were wrong, why would there be a need to remove them by the 50/50 option?
Question Author
They always remove the completely wrong ones, total fix.
Question Author
They state it is a random selection, which it is clearly not, watch it.
How is it a fix if they leave the correct answer and another that is not obviously wrong? It would possibly be a fix if they left the correct answer and the other was obviously wrong.
I don't think SK's going to award a BA on this thread!
I've always thought they waited for the contestant to ask for 50/50, then the presenter says "What do you think it might be"?
"Well,"says the contestant, " I'm absolutely torn between 'A' and 'D'.
THEN they take two away, and sure enough it's 'A' and 'D' that are left.
I think the contestant should just keep it buttoned about " what they think it might be".

Fix, fix....
Don't be daft, things like this have to be overseen by official adjudicators. There are companies that offer the service I know someone who runs one, they work with companies who run competitions on products and have to verify that winners are chosen at random etc. Anyway how often does a contestant say what they think then that answer goes away in the 50 - 50? Seen it happen loads of times.
I tend to agree with SparklyKid. Last night was.imo, an example. Question. Which snake is venemous? Two of the snakes had Boa and Constrictor respectively in their full names.
50/50 left a Green Mamba and a Californian King snake.
You have to be pretty dumb not to dismiss the two well known constricting snakes and pretty dumb not to realise the two Mambas, both the Green and Black rank amongst the most venemous snakes in the world.
I thought the lady from Leighton who I thought showed promise initially totally screwed it up over the Southern sail from the tip of Land's End.
Jeremy Clarkson said from the outset that it was definitely not Morrocco she asks him and he says he really wouldn't like to advise her on his opinion. The stakes were too high.
She has two lifelines left and she says 'Morrocco. Final Answer' Duhh
Also, the two 'wrong' answers might be obvious to you, but they won't be to everyone!
guy got wrong answer last night after selecting 50 50
"What do you think it might be"?
"Well,"says the contestant, " I'm absolutely torn between 'A' and 'D'.
THEN they take two away, and sure enough it's 'A' and 'D' that are left.
So, Mr Chirpy, what would they do if either A or D was the correct answer, 'cause the contestant can't always be wrong?
