I'm just trying to find which channel it is on, and am amazed that there is no live coverage on British TV, only highlights at 11:55 (UK) and yet I can watch it live on German TV - what's going on?

It’s on Eurosport if that’s any help. Probably not.
I guess the BBC lost in the bidding for the rights to show it live. Shame really.
Better to watch on Eurosport, don’t have to listen to O’Sullivan fan club on there.
haven't checked, but tv magazine says it's on bbc2.

I know it's nothing to do with the snooker, but the last 2 days of Masters golf coverage was the last to be shown on the beeb this year.
They, the beeb, are struggling to pay for live coverage of a lot of sports.
BBC are showing live coverage but spread over traditional channels (BBC One & BBC Two), red button & iPlayer

I'm watching it on Freeview 601 at the mo.
Your original premise is wrong....Lots of live coverage clearly listed in Radio Times on BBC1 and BBC2...with even a choice of tables on the "red button"...
It's on red button at the moment, but I don't know if it's live.
watched it live on BBC1 this afternoon.
According to the RT;
Sat 20 April; BBC 2 @ 10 am - 12 noon, BBC 1 @ 1.15 pm - 4.30 pm, back to BBC 2 @ 4.30 - 5.35 pm, the back to BBC 1 for the highlights at 11.55 pm.
Sun 21 April; All BBC 2, 10 am - 12.15 pm, 2 pm - 6.15 pm, then highlights @ 11.35 pm.
Suggest you consult the Radio Times for the rest of the tournament, Khandro.

I don't have a red button facility but thanks. It's finished anyway now.
If you are on Freeview, go to channel 601. That shows the red button transmission.
(as TCL observed earlier)
it's live on BBC1/2 every day, I'm watching it on BBC 2 now.
