Having recorded it, we watched this brilliant drama in one go last night. Fabulous from start to finish. But I am left wondering if I missed a supporting thread in the story? What was the first husband in prison for?

I watched the drama and I'm not sure it was ever made clear why her first husband was in prison. Maybe I missed something too Maydup. Gripping drama though - think they were all victims in one way or another.

He was serving time for drink related offences, he was an alcoholic. Great drama.

Thanks HereIam. It wasn't a hugely important element of the story, but I had just wonder why the writer set the ex husband in jail. makes sense now that his behaviour was connected to his grief.
