She asked him to nod or blink as she went through the alphabet but everyone who watched the tape was so engrossed in watching for his blink, that they failed to notice his hand signalling in Morse Code. And what he was signalling was that there were 4 Dots. As he had been unmasked as the 'Caddy', he was actually signalling that there were 4 'Caddies'.
it was in a previous series Tilly. He's the one who was talking in schools, etc. Told he was the 'best caddy' that the criminal ever had. So there is still an insider. Have to admit I missed the bit about Tina except she was told 'well done' by DCS Carmichael and suppose that was code for 'sort her out'.
That's okay Tilly. I have no issue with people who love watching it. OH watches it al the time but I just am not interested and get thoroughly bored and go off to do something else. I get annoyed in the winter though as I do like Ski Sunday but if I try to watch it OH invariably asks about evening meal or some other inconsequential thing that could wait.
It was very very good I thought.
Presumably “Dot” Cotton now needs to be rehandled “Dot dot dot dot .... dot dot dot dot ... “ Cotton.
And for me never having seen the thing before the mystery of why would someone call themselves H especially if their name began with H was solved :-)
Some things did seem a bit unsatisfactory tho: dodgy coppers popping up with alarming regularity all over the place.
And given the action takes place just a few weeks ago in real time, an awful lot seemed to be covered in the trailing bylines!
It was Pilkington who killed Corbett was it not? So his cover is protected by McQueen who is quite readily believed about everything she says.
It’s never really explained, if Corbett really was such a decent soul, why he would drill holes through an innocent woman’s bones. No matter the past. Maybe that comes out in the next series.
