Popular Television Programmes You Have Never Seen
57 Answers
Just spotted a thread about Gavin & Stacey and it occurred to me that I have never seen it. Neither have I seen Cheers or Friends or Emmerdale or Love Island or Breaking Bad or Peaky Blinders … and lots more.
What popular TV programmes have you never seen?

I see bits of this and that when Im visiting friends/family etc but getting rid of my telly was the best thing that I ever did. What a load of crap. (just thankful that I never forked out for a licence when I DID have a TV)
I do miss the occasional documentary or film but overall, what a pile of pants it seems to be nowadays!
Much prefer socialising with friends, reading, going pictures, or even having a few tins and debating on here than cabbaging in front of the X Factor!!!

It's easier for me to list what I have watched (or do watch):
My year starts with Jools Holland's Hootenanny on New Year's Eve. Then I watch old re-runs of Last of the Summer Wine several nights per week throughout the year. In the summer I watch The Voice Kids and the coverage from Glastonbury. At Christmas I buy the Radio Times to plan my Christmas viewing but often get through the entire two-week validity of the magazine without actually watching a single programme listed in it (except for the NYE hootenanny)
To get back to answering your question, if I've not already mentioned it I almost certainly haven't seen it.

For me its the soaps - Corrie, Eastenders etc. All reality TV shows like Towie, Made in Chelsea, I'm a Celebrity, Big Brother etc but also the "talent" shows like BGT, Bake Off, Strictly. I have seen the trailers for Gavin & Stacey, Mrs Brown etc and know that they are not my cup of tea. A lot of the popular dramas like Broadchurch, Killing Eve etc are also not for me but I do confess to being a big GOT fan...
Yep Peaky Blinders is worth watching for Tom Hardy and Cillian Murphy alone, plus the rest of a really good cast. I gave up half way through the first episode of the new series of Handmaid's Tale. Can't stand the misery anymore.
Never ever watch anything with Simon Cowell in, or talent shows in general. Never watched GoT either. Quicker to tell you what I do watch actually.
