We will have an independence forevermore, hopefully.
Are you saying that we are not an Independent nation now or are you saying we will be no longer the slave vassals of the EU post Brexit?
Yes, on November 5th. There will be explosions resounding and fires ablazing throughout the nation.

"14:48 Tue 17th Sep 2019"
Neither.
Retro - I am saying currently, the UK does not celebrate any kind of "Independence day".
I'm asking..
After brexit, would that change?
You didn't answer my question. Are we not an Independent Nation now? If we are we don't require a special day.
As you pose the question I assume you believe we are not,pre Brexit, an Independent Nation. Why would you think that I wonder?
Question Author
You didn't answer my initial question. However.. I'm respectful to answers yours, before you answer mine.

I don't know.

Because we're part of a union, which is literally the definition of not being independent.

"You didn't answer my question."

Actually I did.. i said neither.

I'm not saying anything. I ask'd a question it's quite a basic one.

You responded with a question. I answered then posed my question again. You responded with "You didn't answer my question."

Laughable

Also England is not an independent country. It's part of the united kingdom. Would the United Kingdom have an independence day post brexit?
No. October 31st is already taken. You don't want to *** off those ghosts.
England has St Georges day to celebrate for those who actually remember and know it.
Question Author
Aye and there is many a problem with that in my opinion, expressed on the happy st George day posts. Also it's quite the religious ideology. The political aspect of Independence would be very different to st Georges day.
Independence Days are usually celebrated by countries who were once ruled by another and have been given freedom to self govern. I don't think that's been the case in England for well over 1000 years (rough unsubstantiated guess) so not really appropriate.
31st Oct Halloween could be renamed Thatchers Day.
Always celebrate St Andrew's Day on 30th November and it will be an even bigger celebration when Scotland gains its independence. Bring it on!
There will be no UK post Brexit...go for it, Little England.
