When you was a kid, what was your favourite snack/food/sweet. Mine was toast, done on a coal fire. yum yum.

Lobster Thermidor aux Crevettes with a Mornay sauce, Served in a Provençale Manner with Shallots and Aubergines, garnished with Truffle Paté, Brandy and a Fried egg on top and Spam ..... ;o)
Toast done on a coal fire.....Mmmm..
That goes without saying teacake!
Also cheese with my dad's homemade pickled onions!

Danny - haslet yum, you don't see it very often these days but my local butcher does a lovely one
2 cooked sausages wrapped up in brown paper (from Mum who would have been making dinner) - also completely adored brazil nuts in chocolate.

A large piece of cheddar cheese. My mum hid the cheese from me. It's still my favourite food/snack.

Some of the above I'd forgotten all about. As there was seven of us in our family, there was always a riot for the crusts, who or who didn't have the crust the last time. But we never had to call the police :0) Unlike the couple on telly the other night, who called them because they were arguing about who owned the computer tablet. ARE THEY REAL??
