BBC2 at 9pm, looks very promising. Don't know the story i confess but the BBC are actually making decent dramas this autumn, winter.

From the writer of Sherlock, which i loved. so something to spice up a cold winters night..
Thanks for the tip. I will give it a look.x
I'll give it a look too.

BBC dramas have been brilliant. Well worth the licence fee.
I like the look of this - and it's not full of over-familiar actors, like so many dramas these days.
Question Author
ummm don't know about that when they come up with some right old dross - but it looks good..
Did anyone watch the last two episodes of Spiral on Saturday?
Now that was a really great series, so well-written and directed. They've already started shooting the 8th series, but will Roban and Gilou feature, I wonder...
Is 'Spiral' sub titled?
Emmie - The Capture, Guilt, Gold digger, Dublin Murders....all very good.
Yes. Thought my French was not bad, but I learned a lot. A 'burner' phone in French is 'un portable de guerre' - a war mobile!
Dublin Murders was very hard to follow. Why they merged the two books is anyone's guess.
hc...I haven't read the books. It seems that people who had didn't receive it very well.

ummm, I can't be doing with all those flashbacks. Probably my age but I do like a story to start at the beginning and progress to the end in a straight line.
Question Author
did watch the Capture, which was quite good, haven't seen Guilt or Dublin Murders as yet. But BBC can come up with awful programmes, like The Wall and Ru Paul's drag race on BBC3 i Player. One doesn't have to watch admittedly and so i skip those i think aren't for me,
will try and do a catch up on Guilt.
I've just finished Guilt, it is excellent
Question Author
then i might well catch on I Player..
Yes emmie you should catch up with Guilt. Excellent drama. Hoping there might be another.
ummmm. I found The Dublin Murders rather annoying with the constant flashbacks.
Certainly worth a look.
Enjoyed this: high production values, and more than a few nods from the director to The Third Man. A refreshing change to see nearly all actors I didn't recognise - though Conleth Hill was in it, but totally unrecognisable , physically and in voice, from his part in Dublin Murders.
I was watching it tonight
A bit like Peaky Blinders

much better script
and turn o the century Vienny is very well observed.

Max is a young Jewish doctor and the stresses of the time ( the rise of Freud, and the non acceptance of Jewish diseases) are covered

Psychiatry has not yet split from Neurology
the head o the medical school is based on fact - raving antisemite
