It seems that every time I turn on the TV, Mary Berry is on. I thought she was a cook, but she seems to have become an expert on many things. Rather like a latter day Carol Vorderman.
//Mary Berry's Country House Secrets on BBC One. In this series, she ventured to four of the UK's most prestigious stately homes and explored each through the prism of food and history. The locations included Highclere Castle, Scone Palace, Powderham Castle and Goodwood House.//
I enjoyed that little set of programmes back in 2017.
Her first television series Afternoon Plus with Judith Chalmers came out in the early '70s and was a big hit with a lot of British mothers. Three children later she continued through the '80s writing books and filming television series for BBC from her home in Buckinghamshire.
Is that an old/repeat Bake off Christmas special? I'd assume Prue Leith would be in anything new. I would imagine some of the other programs mentioned are also repeats. Happens every Christmas. Not her doing...complain to the tv execs.
I've not checked the Christmas radio schedules yet but I really, really hope that they've not let her loose on Radio 2 again this year. I find her presentation style totally nauseating!
This is a problem with both BBC AND ITV, once they find somebody they think is popular with the viewers they put them every programme they can think of.
