Not going to actually post a review as they generally get shot to bits by moaners who rarely(if ever) attend the cinema and generally just snipe because they’re bored or have little else to do.
All I’ll say is if you don’t go and see this on the big screen(as Sam Mendes wants you to) then it’s your loss. If you do, make sure you have a handkerchief ready for the last 5 minutes.

I saw the two lead actors on The One Show and they explained about the filming, which was very well done.
Also, it did seem to be a realistic representation of what it must have been like, living in the trenches, unimaginable.
Neither of needed a hanky, and yes, I agree, you probably need to see it on the big screen to get the best from it.
