did anyone see this the other day as i couldn't help noticing striking similarities between it and a simpsons episode. both revolved around a inter-company softball game, a match that hadn't been won by the prog. team for ageas, both hire (ex)professionals so they can play on their team, in both episodes the batter gets hit on the head by the ball allowing the team to get runs.

which came first? i'm guessing the simpsons, but i don't know, pretty lazy writing if u ask me!

I can't in a million years seen Matt Groaning copying off a lame show such as 'JSM' the other way round however i can see them doing. There doesn't seem to be many original jokes in 'JSM'

Yes the Simpsons episode is "Homer at the Bat" from season 3 and was on tv in the USA on 20 February 1992

The Just Shoot Me ep was from their Season 3 and was on tv on 4th May 1999
