Going to change to Sky - happy doing it online but nowhere does it talk about having a ‘dish’ installed!?
Is this up to us to do it is it no longer needed?! As you can gather - I’m a novice to this!

Going to change to Sky what? TV or broadband. TV requires a dish, broadband requires a telephone line.

Just TV - but I’ve crawled all over their website and can’t find any reference to a dish - that’s why I asked??
As the thread title is Sky TV I assume it's TV (and maybe broadband/phone too)
Perhaps they feel that a dish is obvious in the same way that an aerial is necessary for terrestrial TV

1. Do I need to have a dish to get Sky TV?

● Sky TV is provided by satellite to provide you with superior picture quality and a more reliable service.

● If there's already a dish on your property, we'll still send an engineer out to get you connected and make sure it's working properly.
I can't remember though whether they install one free of charge when you sign up to a contract or whether you have to pay for installation
I got mine free with a contact. Although gave up with it many years later.
firstly get a friend to recommend you then you both get a perk

They were talking about a dishfree Sky a year or two ago but nothing seems to have come of it.
If you want I'll introduce you to Sky - then

"You'll both get a £75 Prepaid MasterCard® when they join Sky TV"
if you are new to sky a local installer will come and set up the dish etc.
