The gallery is closed and I won't be contacting them anyway because to buy from them would probably cost an arm and a leg. Looking for somewhere where I could get a copy on a print or poster that won't need me to take out a loan.
There's a FB page called "Growing up in U.K. in the 50s/60s" and someone put this photo up very recently. Will see if I can find it again - might have some info on it.
Mamya I love the photographs by Shirley Baker that she took in the Hulme area of Manchester which is near to where I grew up. Her photo's remind me of my young self and as there was a lamppost like this right outside our house, I spent many a happy hour doing this.
Do you think the only way to buy a print would be expensive or are there companies that can reproduce as cheaper posters/prints?
I suspect that you'll get stung for an arm and a leg to get hold of a print (in any form) of that picture but it's Shirley Baker's daughter, Nan Levy, who holds the rights, so why not contact her directly?

Barsel, how strange!
I have this print in a Shirley Baker book sitting in front of me. The book is called ... Shirley Baker Without a trace .. Manchester and Salford in the 1960s.I bought my copy from Waterstones for 20.00
Thanks Chris, I found that earlier and emailed her daughter. Mamya if you ever find the prices, can you let me know please?
Could I do as fender suggests? I have the picture saved and could put it on a USB stick then take it to get a large print or poster, but where do they do that?
eleanor2 I saw that book while I've been searching on either Amazon or ebay for about £13.99 now, so I'm seriously thinking of getting that, in fact, I'm going to order it right now.
