Ronan And Storm
15 Answers
I’m not a fan of celebrities pushing their loved ones into the spotlight. Chris Evans, Bradley Walsh, Martin Kemp, Peter Andre....they’re all at it, perhaps with the aim of ensuring the family fame and fortune beyond their own careers. But the one who really makes me cringe is Ronan Keating and second wife Storm who he’s so overtly smitten by. Whenever I see him all over her on camera, like on Loose Women today, I wonder how it makes his first wife and their kids feel. Bloody awful, I imagine. Storm and their son even feature in Rohan’s latest video. Anyone agree with my bleating about Keating, or do you still love him...no matter what?

I have interviewed several musicians who have one or more parents who are famous, and the reaction they encounter is often "OK, let's see what (insert famous parent(s) name(s) here) can do then …"
They offspring actually has to do more than justify their own talent, they have to get out from under the burden of having famous parents, a problem the vast majority of people don't have to think about.
As for bringing in wives or husbands, that is a decision that they can make for themselves. The vast majority of famous celebrities have partners that no-one would recognise if they passed them in the street - and they are perfectly happy that way.

Further to my post about famous parents - the world of entertainment is littered with offspring who have had a go at a career in entertainment themselves, and not only encountered the negative response I outlined, but found that, far more damaging, they haven't actually inherited their parent(s)' talent, and sharing a name counts for zero in the real world.
