I have about 50 video tapes (no horror movies) that I don't want to throw in the bin. I would like to give them away but don't know where. Are there any outlets in the Peterborough, Lincolnshire, Rutland or Norfolk areas?

This question has come up countless times, with nobody seeming to have a real answer for it. Charity shops stopped accepting VHS tapes ages ago, as there's no market for them. (The only exceptions are occasionally for 'specialist' videos, such as documentaries about steam trains, etc). All that anyone has ever been able to suggest seems to be trying to give them away on Freecycle

or Freegle

...and if you do end up throwing them away, save some of the cases.
I've found them very useful for storing all kinds of things...receipts that you need to keep, small instruction booklets that come with so many things, different connecting cables etc. etc.
