I remember a series I thought it was about werewolves but I just looked at the 1987 series and it wasn't that. I remember the guy sat in a chair in an old fashioned wooden panelled study and there start is with clock gears rotating like the start of Murdoch Mysteries. I thought the guy had tight curly hair like Will Farrel or the guy that played let Luther in superman series with Dean cain
