Hopefully the virus in number ten will be gone.
I think there will eventually be a vaccine for it and it'll become a similar thing to flu and pneumonia
It’ll be with us forever but will become less of an issue as we develop immunity.

After all bubonic plague is still with us, Spanish flu etc.
Historically pandemics last 18 to 24 months. I think it will tail off from next Spring.
I see the nasty left are in evidence again.
Well the really dangerous disease, socialism, still has all manner of carriers.
I think we will have been vaccinated by next Easter and the number of cases will reduce significantly by the Autumn 2021. Thats my prediction, but in the meantime it will affect many events postponed from this summer to next summer.
is there a vaccine for socialism?
//I think we will have been vaccinated by next Easter...//

I'm not a gambling man but I would hazard a guess that (1) a suitable vaccine will not have been developed by then and (2) even if it had, only a very small proportion of the UK population will have received it. In fact, even if one became available tomorrow, only a small proportion of the UK population will have received it by next Easter.
A think the same as the new judge on this , even if its ready by spring which a doubt very much as it needs full testing it will take ages to do enough peopel and there will be lot's of refusers and peopel what want to wait a year to see if its safe. There having problems doing enough flue vaxinations this year so a can see problems for corona vaxinations
One of the newspapers is saying only half of the UK citizens will get the vaccine. One takes it for granted it will be a voluntary act, at least for most, if not all.
//One takes it for granted it will be a voluntary act, at least for most, if not all.//

Unless there is a change to the law it will have to be voluntary:

**Public Health (Control of Disease) Act 1984**

45E Medical treatment

Regulations under section 45B or 45C may not include provision requiring a person to undergo medical treatment.
“Medical treatment” includes vaccination and other prophylactic treatment.
***

I cannot imagine even this Parliament passing an amendment to the 1984 Act so as to allow compulsory vaccination.
It will not be with us forever.

It will be a fire that runs out of fuel. It will run out victims, either from them dying or becoming immune.
After all bubonic plague is still with us, Spanish flu etc.

who wrote that ? Plague needs the Black Rat - rattus norvegicus will NOT do and that limits it to Viet and a bit a china - where they currently have a few tens of cases

incredibly 6 cases occurred in East Anglia in sort of 1920. - oh and the guy who infected himself at Porton 1962

Spanith Flu - not seen for a hundred years and to get the genome they had to DIG someone up ! - so they chose the adults at an eskimo orphanage where all the adults had died on the same night. - kids forraged for seven days ....
Prog on it a few years ago - a very young researcher has raised $1m to get the virus and all the professors pouted that THEY should get the moolah and not her

5 years?
well we have no Hong Kong flu nor 1957 flu but we have other viral diseases
I wouldnt trust a vaccine so quick in the making. If it became compulsory does that make me a conspiricy theorist if I refuse it?
Wouldnt even have a flu vaccine,
no, it makes you an idiot
///One of the newspapers is saying only half of the UK citizens will get the vaccine.///

. . . because by the time we get it, half the population will be dead.
//no, it makes you an idiot//
Thanks for clarifying.
All those mums who took Thalidomide are idiots too then?
not the same and you know it.
