If you are being serious - it's hard to tell in print - the reference to Freddie Mercury was in response to the point that The Queen was absent - Freddie was lead singer for rock band Queen, sadly he is deceased.
Freddie Mercury was the lead singer in the pop group Queen. Hence the mild attempt at humour.
I know who Freddie Mercury is.If Gully wants to be funny he should at least get the name right.Instead of falling flat on his face again.

Anyone paying attention to Prince Charles' speech would have noticed he referenced the 70th anniversary of the end of the second World War, and there was me thinking it was the 75th.
