It seems people not only want antiques but stuff that others would throw out. Watch Salvage Hunters with Drew Pritchard and see what he buys around the country. A lot gets restored or repaired but some of it is put on his website in the same state as he bought it. Not only does he sell at a profit but he has customers across the world.

I like antiques and vintage stuff...had some decent bargains recently. I don't go for the really classy expensive end as I like to use things and don't want to worry about the odd chip or bump

Watched a re run Bargain Hunt at lunchtime.Charles Hanson bought a cheap looking brooch for £150 and it sold for about £60.Are they told to buy this sort of stuff or do they get it wrong to that extent.Then you get Danny Sebastian, seems like a nice guy but he’d be absolutely lost without a tatty suitcase to buy.

but that's on telly....I bet they arer a lot more hard nosed in real life and don'y forget that many of them make their actual living as specialists in one aspect and/or running auction houses and shops or sourcing stuff for wealthy clientele

Antiques Road Trip tonight, Charles Hanson bought a painting for £100 and sold it at auction for three times that.

Actually Roo he paid £280 for the painting then it was sold for £380.

Dont know how Drew Pritchard gets those prices! Most of it wouldnt get passed my front door. There's no account for taste i suppose but some of it looks dirty and smelly.

what constitutes an antique, i mean i watch some of these programmes and how often they buy step ladders, makes no sense

i would buy antique furniture if i could afford it. Some of the pieces would look nice in my flat.

Emmie are there any car boots anywhere close to live, probably will not be open till lockdown ends, but you may get something similar.

Jens not to bad, but in a lot of pain, the Co-codamol she's been prescribed witch is a derative of morphine helps.

yes there are a number of them, but i have recently changed my lounge furniture, so won't be doing that again any time soon
