He does, but the cop character played by Barry Morse, starts to believe Kimble was innocent. Together they find the one-armed man, who confesses to Kimble before falling off a ledge a nd dying. They find a witness to the murder, and Kimble is found not guilty on appeal.

Apparently they had to cobble together a quick ending before they originally planned to end the show as David Janssen wanted to quit. I wonder what their original ending would've been?

The original ending, given the usual American series, would have been to suddenly stop when the sponsors stopped funding, leaving all viewers rather miffed.
