It is very sad that she suffered a miscarriage, don’t get me wrong, but why oh why do we have to suffer her every day in the news. I thought they both wanted PRIVACY but they cannot wait to get their faces and woes everywhere can they? I wonder if the long drawn out speech of her miscarriage was written by her by the way?

I dare not say too much about what I feel about MM because I will be jumped on by those of you who think she is a normal regular person, she isn't. If you don't know how she has been criticised in the past few years then you must have your head buried in the sand. They want privacy except when it suits them/her and now they want everyone to know she has had a miscarriage so...

TINK not think, sorry, stupid autocorrect
Barsel - // Andy, you are right about people asking how you are just out of courtesy and sometimes not at all, but that does not make me want to stand on a soap box and tell people they MUST ask me if I'm ok. The Sussex's imo always seem to be telling us what we should be doing and it's wearing a bit thin now. //

I think their main issue is that they feel compelled by their status and the reach of their comments - on anything - to talk about issues they feel are important.

I think the Duchess felt a need to share her experience, to try and confirm to other women that they are not alone in their experience, but the built-in issue for her, and them, is that they are always going to appear to be preaching.

To be fair, they often are - but i don't think she was on this occasion.
Andy, I have my own views on MM and if I were to fully express them, I would come across as being very hard and uncaring, and I'm not that kind of person on the whole. You may say why do you feel like this towards someone you've never even met and the answer is, well, I can't really explain what the answer is, but I started to feel like this towards her just before she married Harry and my feelings of disliking her seem to be getting worse as time goes on. It's a sort of instinct if you like, and the issue with the miscarriage well, I can't see why that would help other women who have gone through this, but of course I may be wrong. My initial thought on that hasn't change, imo she was playing the sympathy card and needed to hear people being nice to her for a change. I don't think I would be wrong if I say she's not the most popular of people and in a way, that is sad, but I do think that by her past actions, she has brought the criticism upon herself.

I think that is human nature, and we all feel that way at times, particularly towards people in the public eye who we only know through the media, or through TV shows.

I have a long list of people on TV who may be absolutely wonderful in 'real life' but whose TV personas irritate me beyond belief.

Two of these are Miranda Hart and Michael Macintyre, who irritate me so much, that even a still image of them makes me draw a sharp breath!

Like you, the dislike is based on something subconscious - if I could explain it, I'd be typing this on the deck of my yacht just off Barbados!!

Thank heavens. I thought it was just me.
Same here Mozz, can't stand either of them.
Oh heck , me to !!
Am I the only person who thinks this "miscarriage" might not have taken place?

Call me cynical but I think she is an extraordinary attention seeker who thrives on attention and sympathy. And I doubt she'd ever miss an opportunity to make her estranged in-laws look bad.
Oh heck, what have I started ...
I know Andy, maybe have a ‘ help group’ for us ?
LadyCG, no, I very much doubt if you're alone in thinking that, but it doesn't make your suggestion any less disgusting.
Andy, your ability to find common ground among folk who rarely agree with one another is staggering. You should consider a career as a negotiator.
LCG - I personally can't stand the woman, but I honestly don't think she'd make up a miscarriage. Even she wouldn't stoop that low.
i agree with Mozz post at 13:59. Disgusting.
How is it disgusting to say what you think?

I know of two woman who did just that. Am I disgusting for knowing what they did?

Get off you high horse!
CG, just because you know two women who did exactly that (nice company to keep), do you presume that all women who miscarry are making it up? Or do you just reserve your venomous opinions for Meghan Markle?
I'm not the venomous one out of the two of us, Sherrard. I will NEVER forget the night you joined in with that gang of bullies, you nasty piece of work.

This is the last reply you're ever getting from me so waste your pixels trying to communicate with me ever again.
I think winge has made it up.
Watch your back, SK, the serpents will be after you.

;-)
//I know of two woman who did just that. Am I disgusting for knowing what they did?//

No, they are, but for you immediately think the same of someone you obviously dislike is plain nasty. As for SK, I'm won't be "going after" him because quite frankly, it's exactly how I'm used to him responding.
