Presidential Pardons
This seems a strange arrangement to me - whereby the president can pardon anyone of their choosing.
If the Prime minister of the UK had such a power, I’m pretty sure the whole country would be up in arms at fellow crooks being pardoned, especially those engaged in criminal activity in support of the Prime minister. Do our American cousins have no shame in the political power of the president allowing abuse this way?

It wasn't an issue 4 years ago because the president didn't go on a spree of pardoning obviously criminal cronies left right and centre.
It's like alot of things this election has highlighted. The systems depend on people doing the right thing and having some kind of moral compass, and being basically sane. When you get someone in place that doesn't tick any of those boxes, surrounded by alot of self serving sycophants and enablers, it starts to look very shaky.

"The most powerful congressional Democrat, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, usually a fierce antagonist of the president, said she agreed with Mr Trump's call for $2,000 one-off stimulus payments for every American.
"Let's do it!" she tweeted, pledging that her party would bring the proposal to the floor this week.
Such a plan would need to be passed by the Republican-controlled Senate, where it may well face resistance."

// He is going - move on. //
I'll move on when he actually goes YMB. Until then there's entertainment still to be had - which by the way is another thing the Americans need to look at - the ridiculously long handover period where they still have a sociopathic numpty in charge, capable of doing all sorts of damage if he wants to.

Meanwhile no one gets anything.
This was agreed by Congress while Trump was pursuing futile law suits and fuming about electoral fraud.
The Democrats unanimously support the extra and BBCafe urging him to sign it off. What it has done, apart from holding up the federal budget (surely not his real aim oh no), is severely embarrass his own party and Georgia’s Republican senate candidates.
Go Donald!
