There must be thousands of viewers who watch this programme. I switched it off after less than five minutes. When I was about 10, I might have found the vulgarity and the rude words funny - but that would have been several decades ago. What is its appeal?
apparently that was the down-toned version - a huge chunk involving Her Maj had to be removed just in case she had passed on.....It used to have its funny moments - I didn't watch it, opting for My5 and to switch on the All Creatures Great & Small episode that, from the sound of it, as the complete opposite and rather good for Xmas viewing.
I'm hoping this will be the last Mrs Brown's Boys on BBC. They gave him a very long contract when the show first took off, guaranteeing a certain amount of Christmas episodes but the show's popularity has somewhat waned since then. It's all a bit meh
I can't abide it either. The points about "trash for the feeble and bottom feeders" and the fact that a ten-year-old might snigger a bit, are well made.
I suspect I might be more open to it if I were Mr O'Carroll's bank manager...
I quite enjoyed some of the early episodes but for me it soon became repetitive and has now gone well past its sell by date. Viewing figures show that it's still popular with many though.
I often see posts on here waxing lyrical about a programme that I can't abide. I see it as having different tastes. I've never thought to call those who don't share my taste feeble or bottom feeders.
I've not watched it Barry, doesn't mean that I've liked it in the past that I'd say Oh , I must watch this.....never gave it any thought tbh ,
I'm sorry it's hit the skids,Brendan O'Carroll does a hell of a lot for charity ,
