While Line of Duty is still, in my, view at the top of the list have been watching Above Suspicion (Lynda La Plante TV 2009-2012). All episodes on You Tube, quite superb.

I've watched nearly all that have been mentioned so far. Currently wading through old episodes of Midsomer Murders. They're a bit daft at times and people drop like flies but it's keeping me amused.
Justified with Walton Goggins is brilliant and another favourite is Boardwalk Empire starring Steve Buscemi.

LOD fan here too, also thoroughly enjoyed Above Suspicion. If you haven't seen Unforgotten, with the excellent Nicola Walker and Sanjeev Bhaskar, then I recommend you give it a go. The first 3 series are on Netflix at the moment, and the 4th is due to start on Monday.
Valhalla Murders - set in Iceland is still on iplayer, that's also good.

I loved The Bridge, Montelbano and Vera, I do hope they make some more Shetland, broody Dougie Henshall was superb but they never seem to be reshown.

I like Vera, too - a female Frost. The books are far better than the tv series and the same for Shetland

Not quite the same category, but I watched The Sum of all Fears last night and thoroughly enjoyed it. Ben Affleck and Morgan Freeman. BA plays Jack Ryan.

Don't bother with the Valhalla Murders, toomey characters, dark, miserable looking characters and it always seems tobe nightie.
It is Finland so that may account for the dreariness.

no The Bridge is subtitled. very ocasionally they speak English, but its mostly Danish/Swedish

if you watch The Bridge try and see it from Season 1. i thought it was excellent.

For me, The Bridge is the best crime drama ever. It's such a shame when people can't do subtitles as they're really missing a treat. The English/French version of it was pants.

I'm sure I read that people don't like the American accent voice over..
I could put up with that
