Rosa Parks was born in Tuskegee, Alabama, on February 4, 1913.
When her parents split, Parks went to live in Pine Level.
Rosa married Raymond Parks, a barber from Montgomery, In. ...
In 1943 Rosa Parks joined the Montgomery chapter of the NAACP and became active in the Civil Rights Movement.
so it wasn't Rosa's parents,
you watch it stickybottle and we can quiz you on all that's been said
I'll decide later when planning my viewing/recording for the evening.

When is she going to turn her attention to China? Perhaps she should visit there next. Seems its always the USA who gets it in the neck.
I don't know why race has been introduced into this. GT's self-adopted status as chief eco-warrior for the world bears no resemblance whatsoever to the bravery of Rosa Parks.
I will not watch it,by given it good viewing figures will only encourage the bbc to do more shows of this kind.
because stickybottle likened rosa parks to greta thunberg for some reason......
Each being born into a world they didn't like, mainly through mankind's past choices, and wanted to change for their future.
emmie
because black people were treated worse than dogs. How can you possibly compare the two i just don;t know.

Just wondered why somebody would want to change their circumstances and environment.
Being an activist isn’t just about race issues.
How do you know that it wasn’t Rosa’s parents and what they went through that made her want to change her environment and circumstances ?
Seeing them treated worse than dogs on a daily basis ?
You might be better served if you stopped being so dismissive and watched the programme because if nothing it will answer the question you posed about her travel arrangements
From what I've read, David Attenborough admires GT greatly. Lets face it she will still be around when all the old farts (me included) are long gone. Give the lassie some leeway.
She wants to try and change the world for the better and I admire her for that. Much the same way I admire Malala Yousafzai.

You are absolutely correct

I wonder if he will get the same dismissive attitude on AB ?
Greta has obviously learned from him but she is derided. We adults have not learned from Attenborough so a child has to prick our conscience to teach us but many do not want to learn. What an irony that she is trying to make a better world for our grandchildren when we won’t
No.
still won't be watching, you can lecture us if you like stickyb
emmie
still won't be watching, you can lecture us if you like stickyb

No point, you ask questions but do not want the answers
Scared you might learn something emmie?
Everybody back on the bus. The glow bulls are back on the agenda and summer is coming. ... Bound to get warmer, so we can frighten the easily led.

Lockdown and a real World crisis had its attractions.
makes a great change from banging on about Philip and the rest of his family......
Disgraceful: they should get back to the Big Topics of the day.
Let’s have “That Was the Eulogy That Was” with maybe viewers invited to call in and vote off the eulogist of their choice

Greta is indeed a bit dreary and solemn but then getting Ant and Dec doing it might not set quite the right tone
